That explains why my blues are three different colors.All my birds are from two different hatcherys.The blacks are 3 months old and my blues are 4 weeks.All are doing fine.I won't be doing any breeding for awhile due to there age. I wasn't planning on breeding any of the blacks to the blues as i wanted to keep them pure, but maby that's the way to go. What would two white sums get you? Is it possible to get white sums from breeding the white ones to each other?

Where can I find the standard for the Sumatras.  I just aquired a young cockrel with beautiful green plummage with purple and blue highlights. 

 I am not sure if he is show quality but he sure caught my eye!!  The research I have done looks favorable for him, he has multiple spurs, yellow bottoms to his feet, beautiful plummage (even though he's still young) but what is the eye set etc supposed to be for him. 


He's very friendly and gentle.   I live in Florida but would love to promote this under appreciated breed!  I have shown dogs and horses before but am pretty ignorant of chicken show protocol.    Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thanks so much
