That would be a closer drive for you than Indiana or Ohio.

Also, I'll be able to take hatching eggs or chicks to shows I'm attending in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana over the next two months.  I have black sumatra large fowl.

That explains why my blues are three different colors.All my birds are from two different hatcherys.The blacks are 3 months old and my blues are 4 weeks.All are doing fine.I won't be doing any breeding for awhile due to there age. I wasn't planning on breeding any of the blacks to the blues as i wanted to keep them pure, but maby that's the way to go. What would two white sums get you? Is it possible to get white sums from breeding the white ones to each other?

One of the black cocks will be used, the others are in the process of being re-homed, as they do not possess the traits that I will be selecting for.  The females that I will be using come from three different lines (or at least this is what I have been told)--Schock, Twisted Feather Farms, and the Memphis zoo. 


I would like to find another decent male and a few more hens in order to be able to properly start a good program with a variance in blood.  If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to post them.
